I was taking photographs at a political meeting on Friday 8th May. It was at the Midland Hotel in Morecambe and the main speaker was Chris Davies who is a Liberal Democrat MEP for the North West. He was speaking about openness in politics which was very apt given the topic of MPs' expenses which has been prominent in the last couple of weeks.I have previously said that being a photographer is a privilege in relation to weddings. It is not bad taking photographs at meetings. I was again able to take a photo from the viewing gallery at the Midland, which is not open to the public, and I was able to have a conversation with one of our MEPs. Now how many people can say that?
