These photos from last week are both monochrome but they have also both been manipulated. It is more obvious on the right. The promenade has been repaired. I often take the rail out. It is not a difficult technique but is more effective with the close-ups like that on the left.In fact I did take out the rail on the left. There are more obvious examples so I'll let you see them tomorrow.
