This is my favourite from last week's wedding. You have to go a long way to beat Morecambe Bay as a background but it is a bonus when you get light like this.
The photo I took is more of less on the left. The flash makes things lighter that are close to the camera but I didn't want to highlight the pebbles in the foreground so I made them a bit darker. Sometimes it helps to convert to monochrome or sepia but with these changes you lose the colours in the sky. I prefer the photo on the right. It follows the rule of thirds in that the main focus of interest is where horizontal and vertical lines cross that would divide the photo into nine rectangles.
