If you visit the camera obscura in Edinburgh you get a great view of the castle. Turn around and you get this view of the Royal Mile. It certainly helps if you get a nice day and even better if you get contrast between light and shade which helps to bring out depth in buildings.On the right I slightly lowered the camera angle. As someone has gone to such an effort to tell you what you are looking at, it seems a shame not to record it so you know what you can see in the photograph.
